Industry Forum 2018 in Neuss

Business processes are constantly evolving. Decision-makers therefore need to engage with issues that will shape the future and find present-day answers to tomorrow’s realities. Digitalisation and Industry 4.0 are characteristic of industry’s drive to move forward. These were the central themes of the second Industry Forum, held with DTO’s involvement in Neuss on 14 November.

KG), Michael Di Figlia (Managing Director, DTO Consulting GmbH), Regina Henrich (European Manager, ISSA), Doro Dietsch (Chair, MIT-RBK), Ulrike Anterist (Head of Human Resources, InterGest France S.A.S.), Prof. Dr Marcus Geimer (Institute Director, Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, KIT), Stefan Rudat (Membership Customer Service Representative, ISSA).

After a welcome drink, DTO Managing Director Nils Tychewicz greeted the approximately 70 guests who had accepted the exclusive invitation. Three expert presentations provided ideas and a basis for discussion. Andrew Voigt, Managing Director of Wacker Neuson Aftermarket & Services GmbH, opened with “Zero-emission construction machinery and equipment: A real alternative!” Prof. Dr Marcus Geimer, Director of the Mobile Machines institute section within the Institute of Vehicle System Technology at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), engaged the audience with “Sustainable energy storage using mobile machinery as an example”. Gernot Zarp, Sales Director Germany and member of management at Getriebebau NORD GmbH & Co. KG, then offered practical insight in “Managing product variety digitally”. Alongside the expert content, event partners VDBUM e.V., ISSA, enders GmbH, InterGest France S.A.S. and DTO gave short presentations. Lively discussion followed, new contacts were made, and the evening drew to a relaxed close over a good meal.

We are already looking forward to the next forum in autumn 2019. Its theme has been confirmed: “Opportunities and risks in internationalisation projects”.
