Digitalisation and Industry 4.0 were the main topics of DTO Research's Industry Forum 2017 in Neuss on 19 October.
The event, featuring expert presentations, a discussion session and plenty of opportunities to expand professional networks, took place in the Pistenlounge at Hotel Fire & Ice. Alongside the professional programme, guests enjoyed culinary specialities against the backdrop of the adjoining ski slope.

After a welcome drink, Nils Tychewicz, Managing Director of DTO Research, welcomed around 60 guests who had accepted the exclusive invitation. Three expert presentations provided the basis for discussion and food for thought. Jochen Frömming, Head of New Business at SSI Schäfer Group, opened the programme by explaining Industry 4.0 from the perspective of an industrial company. Dr. Paul Kostolnik, Managing Director of INGMAN GmbH, inspired the audience with a presentation on virtual reality. Andreas Janetzko, Managing Director of DP World Logistics Europe GmbH, then offered practical insights with ‘Digitalisation in logistics and its impact on industry’. Alongside the expert presentations, event partners VDBUM e.V. and ISSA gave brief introductions. Afterwards, participants enthusiastically discussed their impressions and insights, made new contacts and rounded off the evening with a drink at the bar.
